Kyle Pendergrass – Of Counsel
For 15 years, Kyle has held various roles relating to patent & trademark law, including service as a patent and trademark attorney, patent agent, patent examiner, and inventor. Kyle helps companies achieve their objectives through global patent and trademark portfolio development, due diligence, and litigation support. His current practice focuses on advising trademark clients on the development and management of worldwide trademark portfolios, including providing guidance on proper trademark selection, risk minimization techniques, targeted filing strategies, and strategic enforcement efforts.
Earlier in his career, Kyle worked for a national technology law firm where he worked closely with a strategic intellectual property group of a Fortune 500 company to perform litigation diligence in support of global licensing disputes, and also contributed to many successful intellectual property litigation matters. He previously worked at the Robot Systems Technology Branch of NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and as a researcher in micro-cooling and fiber optic applications. Technologies with which he has expertise include control systems, software, sensors, optics, signal processing, complex electro-mechanical devices, robotics, telecommunications, positioning systems, augmented and virtual reality, encryption, data compression, circuit design, network architectures, renewable energy, MEMS systems, manufactured products, consumer electronics, medical devices, and fluidic devices.
Kyle holds a Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was awarded the CALI honor for achieving the number one ranking in a Judgement and Decision-making course. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
